Primary / Kindergarten Program Aurora and Naperville
Our Programs
Primary / Kindergarten
At Casa Dei Bambini Montessori School, our Kindergarten Program in Aurora and Naperville provides an enriching, well-rounded educational experience that prepares children for future academic success while also nurturing creativity, independence, and social-emotional growth. Unlike traditional kindergarten or elementary programs, Montessori education allows each child to progress at their own pace, building a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
Language: Language development begins the moment a child enters the classroom. Through a phonetic reading and writing program, children use sandpaper letters to explore letter sounds and recognize lowercase letters. With this solid phonetic foundation, students are well-prepared for spelling, reading, and future literacy work.
Math: Mathematics is introduced through concrete, hands-on materials that can be touched, counted, and manipulated. Concepts are first experienced in the Sensorial area and then extended into structured math exercises. This approach allows children to form a deep and lasting understanding of number sense and the decimal system.

Science: Science in Montessori classrooms sparks curiosity and encourages active exploration. Children conduct simple experiments, like mixing primary colors to create secondary colors, exploring magnetic and non-magnetic objects, and classifying living versus non-living things. By engaging directly with real-world phenomena, science becomes exciting, approachable, and meaningful.
Sensorial: Maria Montessori called the Sensorial materials the “key to the universe.” In this area, children refine their senses of sight, touch, smell, taste, and hearing, learning to identify, classify, and understand the world around them. These exercises prepare children for future studies in mathematics, language, and the sciences.
Practical life: Practical Life activities are the foundation of the Montessori classroom, helping children build independence, coordination, and responsibility. Tasks like polishing, caring for plants, pouring, and cleaning strengthen both fine and gross motor skills while teaching order, concentration, and care for the environment.
Why Montessori Instead of Traditional Kindergarten?
Casa Dei Bambini Montessori School offers families a thoughtful alternative to traditional kindergarten and elementary school. Our Montessori-trained educators blend structured lessons with self-directed exploration, encouraging children to think critically, solve problems, and develop a genuine love of learning.
In addition to academics, our program emphasizes social-emotional development, helping children form meaningful friendships, practice empathy, and build confidence in their communication skills. By honoring the whole child, we prepare students not only for academic success but also for a lifetime of independence, curiosity, and compassion.
If you’re seeking a Kindergarten program in Aurora or Naperville that goes beyond traditional schooling, Casa Dei Bambini Montessori School provides the foundation for both academic excellence and personal growth.
