Kanimozhi Shanmugam (affectionately known as “Ms Kani”) is an Assistant Teacher for Early Childhood. She grew up in India and completed her Engineering degree in 2000. After working in the IT field, for five years, she moved to the U.S. in 2005. She now lives in Naperville with her husband and two lovely children. In her spare time, she enjoys family trips, biking, and gardening. Ms. Kani earned her certificate of completion, as an Early Childhood Paraprofessional, from Seton Montessori Institute in 2017. Her educational experience began as a room parent and substitute in the classroom. She is very passionate about Montessori philosophy and enjoys working with young children to foster their growth.
Anmol Nijhawan is an Assistant Teacher at CDBM Aurora Campus. She grew up in Calcutta, India where she completed her Bachelor’s in Commerce from the University Of Calcutta in 1997. She has been in the USA since 1997 and she received her Early Childhood Education and Care certificate from the College of Dupage in 2003. She has worked in various preschool teaching roles since 2001. Her family comprises of her husband, her daughter (a sophomore in college) and herson (a freshman in high school). In addition, has has an adorable 1 year old Cavapoo puppy, who really is the master of the house. She is a very outgoing person who enjoys meeting new people and travelling around the world with family. She is most passionate about helping children learn and grow. She gets very excited when children are able to achieve goals of her curriculum.
Alessandra Barreto grew up in Brazil where she earned my Bachelor’s degree in Biology in 1994.She worked as a Science Teacher in 4th and 5th grade from 1995 until she moved to Chicago in 1999. She’s been working with younger children, in the U.S., since 2000. She received her Paraprofessional Certificate from Seton Montessori Institute in 2011. For the past seven years her teaching experience was working with toddlers in a Montessori environment. She is a proud mother of two girls and her passion is her family, friendships, and taking care of the best age group – TODDLERS! She also speaks Spanish and Portuguese fluently. She joined the CDBM family in January 2018 and she enjoy watching students discover and learn new things every day.
Lavanya Chittaluri is an Assistant Teacher at the CDBM Aurora Illinois campus.She is from India and taught children there, in kindergarten, before coming to the United States. She has been in the U.S. since 2006. Ms. Lavanya completed her Associate’s Degree in Math and Computer Science in 2004. She completed the certification course in Early Childhood Education from College of Dupage and has been working as Assistant Teacher since 2014. She has two young boys in elementary school and she believes a child’s education is the most valuable thing in the world . When Ms. Lavanya is working with students, her favorite thing to observe is the spontaneous joy children have when they accomplish and discover something new.
Daniela Pontes grew up in Salvador, Brazil where she earned her bachelor’s Degree in Social Communication from the Catholic University of Salvador. In 2006 Ms. Daniela moved to the United States to further her education. She’s started working with Montessori children in 2016 as an Elementary teacher, after school coordinator and primary assistant. Ms. Daniela obtained her Paraprofessional Certificate for Assistant in Infant, Toddler and Early Childhood environments from Seton Montessori Institute in Clarendon Hills, Illinois. Ms. Daniela speaks Portuguese, English and Spanish fluently and is learning Italian. She joined the Casa Dei Bambini family in the summer of 2018.
Swetha Vangala is an Assistant Teacher at CDBM Aurora since December 2018. She completed her Engineering Degree in 2012. Her childhood and formal education occured in India. She currently lives with her husband in Aurora with two lovely children, a 7 yr old boy and a 2 yr old girl. Ms Swetha completed the Paraprofessional certification from Seton Montessori in 2018. She enjoys every aspect of teaching and this philosophy is my favorite. She is very proud and happy to be a teacher and to be given the opportunity to take care of little ones and watch them grow.
Rachel Navarro started working at Casa Dei Bambini Montessori in September 2018. She has enjoyed working with children since she was 16 years old. She graduated with her Associates in Science from Waubonsee Community College in 2016. After that, she studied abroad in Chile and Mexico where she gained more fluency in the Spanish language. She is continuing her education at Aurora University where she is studying Spanish Education. She will graduate in the spring of 2020. She and her husband married in August of 2017 and are living here in Aurora. Ms Rachel loves to sing and speak in Spanish and teach students different themes.
Mrs. Jennifer Tripathi joined the CDBM family in July 2019. Ever since Ms. Jenny was a child, she knew she was meant to be a teacher. After countless hours of playing “school” when she was younger, she then pursued a degree in Elementary Education at The University of Central Missouri. While attending college, she began to work in a childcare center. She also met her husband, Nimesh, in college and they reside in Naperville with their cat, Felix. Since college, Ms. Jenny has taught preschool for two years and has been teaching infants and toddlers for about a year and a half. She is furthering her education by attending school to obtain a Montessori certificate for Primary ages 3-6.
